Dude this is the best BBQ I've ever had hands down. The sauce is amazing and the restaurant is standard and has a nice country feel to it but it's a small restaurant meant for takeout so don't focus on the ambience too much. Service is average they cook the food and that's about it so don't expect anything special from them. But if you want great BBQ then come here. Pretty much anything's good with the sauce!

Used to go here a while ago and stopped because meat was always overcooked. Yesterday went and special ordered meat med rare and it was PERFECT!! Great improvement and will definitely be back!

I've going to Buster's since they were a little shack in Saticoy. Moved out of the area for many years. Back here now and glad to find this treasure is still around. Just as good as I remembered. It's a must if you want good BBQ. I don't particularly care for BBQ sauce in general, but the sauce here just hits 100%. The half and half combo is just the right flavor and hotness. Although sometimes, I like it just hot. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you get a meal you can easily split it or save half for later. The tri tip is seasoned well and not dry at all. The bread is delicious. The salad are great if you like those kinds of sides, but the beans are a must have! For someone who gave up my Santa Maria style grill when I moved from a home to an apartment and now doesn't do home BBQ-ing this place let's me have authentic BBQ whenever I want. The staff here is very nice, giving great service. And the restaurant itself gives the vibe of a backyard BBQ.

Enjoyed their Tri-Tip sandwich $14.75 along with a side of a Hot Link...worth the $3.75 price tag! Highly recommend their 1/2 and 1/2 sauce if you like eating spicy food. It's 1/2 hot sauce and 1/2 regular. Otherwise go with regular. Their hot sauce is ULTRA hot even for someone like me that can eat habanero chilis. Don't think they can honestly claim "OG" since this joint operates very differently. Ask for extra sauce, it's $1.25 each but still has great flavor. But their chili beans are for the birds! Not even the birds would eat it. Service needs more help to be more welcoming and to maintain cleanliness.

Not sure if this deserves the OG in the name. It would help if they were the OG owners or even if the bread was the same bread as the OG Buster BBQ sandwiches you could buy in Saticoy or off of Johnson back in the day. The bbq sauce is OG The tri tip is OG The hot links are OG The service is friendly The prices are decent So why not 5 stars? $4 for medium cup of beans? No bueno. Didn't taste bad but the portion is small masquerading as a medium. The place was busy. Overall clean but cluttered in some areas. Good vibes though Try it for yourself even if you didn't go to the OG one. If you fix the bread to match the OG sourdough with more charring, well then we will have to update the review and drop the suspicion off the OG in the name.

I don't get the super low ratings - I think this spot was great. Loved my tri tip sandwich. The bread was soft and buttery! I like the tri tip medium rare and they delivered on my request. Many places do not.  It was cooked to perfection (my opinion) and not overly smoky. I really enjoyed the macaroni salad which I usually don't like either! Plus plus!!!      Also... I typically do not like BBQ sauce but this place changed my mind. So much so, I had to purchase a bottle!   Level hot as I love heat!! So freaking good and now I can use on my sandwiches at home!    Great customer service- quick and prompt! I will be back! Place is clean and it is pretty busy. Definitely a local fave. The complaints about them not picking up calls are weird.. a small business cannot pick up calls during busy lunch hours if they're tending to customers in store. It's a courtesy, we've all become so impatient and expect all to be on our time :/ Check them out!
